We designed two separate projects for the Fowler Museum at UCLA. Intersections is an online version of the museum exhibition highlighting key objects in the Fowler’s collection. Video, audio lectures, and audio tour podcasts can be accessed in the site’s Media Gallery. We also redesigned the interface for their searchable Online Collections application, partnering with the ever resourceful Systems Planning development team.

The Japanese American National Museum wanted a modernized online presence that focused on highlighted events and exhibitions. The new site’s homepage presents a custom illustration upon each new visit to the page, and inside pages include slideshows of images and quotations.

A module highlighting scholarly essays and research into 20 intriguing artworks from LACMA’s European Paintings Department. The “What is a French Oil Sketch?” section illustrates five functional types of these particular “Sketches” by matching other comparative images, and allowing interactive zooming in to view comparative details.

For the popular unconventional NPR radio show with short spotlights on nature and culture, we selected a creative color scheme and strong narrative features. Includes thousands of database-delivered Audio Programs and Feature Stories, 16 scientist blogs, e-commerce features, downloadable programs and curriculum, and a Flash animated “audio adventure” exploring the Australian Cloud Forest.
